“Bruce, we have been friends for over three decades. We shared in the elation of experiencing the emergence of a Democratic South Africa – an outcome of the struggle we both contributed to and were finally able to cherish. Subsequently, and latterly, we were exceptionally fortunate to spend a lot of time together here in Orange, much of which allowed for a meaningful exchange of thoughts and ideas. I savour these memories and particularly enjoyed our exchange of humour-filled repartee. You are in my thoughts. Your friend – Victor. “
