Hindsight – 2020

An overview of life’s journey. Unaware of dangers below and the pitfalls ahead, the confident youth (the artist) ventures forth in the early dawn. An overblown artistic ego in the form of a hovering zeppelin, is vulnerable to being deflated by danger signs from below. These signs indicate yet other perils in life’s journey. The end trajectory is a personalized grave stone (with enlarged fingerprint) under the African thorn tree surrounded by cosmos flowers and attended by a family of rawhide drums.

A mid-point, the artist has spent half his life in Africa and half in Australia. Time for reminiscing and review.
