The Trap is Set – 2026

Assemblage consisting of an antique octagonal frame,; a stainless steel grater; two cigarette lighter holders, one of a naked male and the other, a female; these are filled with (volatile) red-head matchsticks; real Zebra skin backdrop and shaped wire mesh; an acquired Victor rat trap; which is set to ‘go off.’

This is a personalized ascerbic statement on our human condition. By virtue of our Biological imperative, we are hard-wired to replicate our species. Thus we are in a state of sexually enthralled entrapment – mostly of our own making. Black and white – Yin and Yang – a toxic and volatile combination.

Ultimately the trap is the ‘Victor’….with our skin enmeshed in the game.
