The artist is depicted as an un-heroic lurching one-legged Victor of the games. A participant in an ambiguous glatiatorial enterprise, this warrior (with diminutive genitals) has an inordinately large double-pipe (plumbing) helmet. His shield has a life-like embossed female breast with nipple – a symbol of protection and luck and potentially disconcerting to any rival. His right hand sports a crude gesticulation – his only weapon. A self reflective parody of a physically challenged gamesman.
