from South Africa opening in Canberra

An exhibition of South African Struggle Era art repatriated by the Ifa Lethu Foundation together with the international solidarity collection, Art Against Apartheid,works donated to the South African government post-democracy.

The exhibition was opened by The Right Honourable Malcolm Fraser AC CH, Former Prime Minister of Australia.

Friday 27 May 2011 at 12 noon: Floortalk by the exhibition Curator, Carol Brown, with an introduction by Dr Narissa Ramdhani, CEO, Ifa Lethu Foundation.

This travelling exhibition was shown at Constitution Hill, Johannesburg South Africa, June-July 2010; The Old Town House, Greenmarket Square Cape Town late 2010 and Durban regional Art Gallery early 2011. After Canberra the collection travelled to the UK.

The Ifa Lethu collection included five large scale major works selected from Gordon’s installation Behold the Land where Satan reigns.
